Dear
Parents,
As you have hopefully noticed, I have
been sending home a “Take-Home” folder.
One side of the folder says, “Left at Home” and all the papers on that
side are to stay at home. The other side
says, “Right Back to School”. These
papers are usually homework assignments or forms that must be brought back to
school. Please be sure that this
folder comes home every night and is returned to school every morning**.
Also starting on Monday you will find a
Conduct Calendar with a daily conduct grade. Here is how the conduct grading system works:
A= Role Model Behavior (cookie reward)
B= Warning
C= 1 Conduct Slip
D= 2 Conduct Slips
F= Time Out
Each time the clip is moved, the child will write
an explanation as to why it was moved. Please
ask to see your child’s conduct grade every day (as it will be in the
“Take-Home” folder). I ask that you sign
the Conduct Calendar every Friday evening in the calendar square for
“Saturday”.
Homework will be given M-Th and due the
following morning*. Any child who does
not turn in an assignment on time will receive a conduct slip. However, if the assignment is turned in the
following day, I will tear up the conduct slip. Homework will not affect the Conduct Calendar
grade as it is not a reflection of classroom conduct. However,
if your child does not turn in homework, you will find a small #1 circled in
the calendar box.
Warm Regards,
Rebecca Ray
*The
Math homework pack will be turned in on Friday.
**
Student Planners are also to be brought
home every night. In it your child will
write the title of the book he/she read and you will sign next to the
title. The Student Planner must come
back to school each day.
